This role backs up the Controller and collaborates with management to ensure accurate statements and GAAP compliance. The position emphasizes attention to detail, process improvements, budgeting, and audit support in a collaborative team environment with opportunities for growth within a long-standing,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3–5 years progressive accounting experience, preferably in distribution or related industries.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls.
• Experience with distribution-focused ERP systems (Infor CloudSuite Distribution, Epicor) preferred.
• Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Own month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
• Prepare journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Maintain general ledger and ensure GAAP compliance.
• Assist with financial statements and management reports.
• Collaborate with department leaders for financial insight.
• Support audit and tax preparations.
• Assist budgeting and forecasting with variance analysis.
• Back up Controller for critical accounting processes.
• Coordinate with operations to ensure inventory and pricing accuracy.
