Job summary

SoftWriters is seeking a Senior Accountant to drive accounting operations and modernize our finance systems in a hybrid Pittsburgh setting. You will lead ERP implementations, automate workflows, and ensure GAAP compliance while coordinating with IT, FP&A, and external auditors.

The role emphasizes process improvement, system testing, and accurate financial reporting to support growth and scalability in healthcare technology.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in a multi-product/complex environment.
• Experience with ERP/billing system implementation and testing (UAT, data validation).
• Strong GAAP knowledge and full-cycle month-end close experience.
• Ability to modernize, automate and document accounting workflows.
• Advanced Excel skills and data analysis capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead ERP implementation and system modernization projects.
• Design test plans and validate data migrations across platforms.
• Own month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Manage AR/AP processes, billing, and collections with accurate reporting.
• Strengthen internal controls, documentation, and audit readiness.
