Woods + Dangaran, an award-winning architecture and interior design firm based in Los Angeles, seeks a Senior Accountant to lead financial operations nationwide. You will oversee the general ledger, close processes, billing, payroll, and project profitability analysis while ensuring strong internal controls and accurate reporting.

You will collaborate with Principals and the Director of Operations, delivering clear financial insights to leadership and supporting HR/Procurement activities.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 5–8+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within AEC or design industry.
• Strong expertise in project-based accounting and revenue recognition.
• Experience preparing full financial statements independently.
• Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, payroll systems, and Excel.
• Demonstrated ability to operate independently with sound judgment.
• Strong analytical skills and business acumen.
• Ability to communicate financial concepts clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
• Fluency in English and valid, long-term work status in the United States.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain the general ledger and oversee monthly close.
• Prepare routine financial statements and maintain documentation for tax filings, audits, and reviews.
• Develop and maintain project-level and firm-level cash flow models using WIP schedules.
• Oversee and execute monthly billing in line with contracts, schedules, retainers, and reimbursables.
• Oversee and process AP and AR.
• Provide regular reporting and analysis on project profitability, fee performance, cash position, and risks.
• Support Interiors Procurement team with vendor payments and wire transfers.
• Oversee and process semi-monthly payroll.
• Support HR functions including benefit plans and annual renewals.
• Establish internal controls and identify system/process improvements.
