Kemper CPA Group LLP in Olney, Illinois is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our regional CPA firm. You will coordinate monthly controllership tasks, prepare statements and tax returns, and contribute to audit engagements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.
• 3–5 years of public accounting experience in both audit and tax.
• CPA designation preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication with clients and staff.
• Proven ownership and initiative to complete assigned work.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Regular attendance and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate assignments for monthly controllership functions (AP, AR, payroll, reconciliations, and reporting).
• Prepare financial statements, balance sheets, income statements, cash flow analyses, notes, schedules, and tax returns.
• Complete moderately complex tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, trusts, and estates.
• Lead audit engagements and review staff work.
• Research issues and respond to client and staff questions clearly.
• Manage multiple client requests efficiently and timely.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
