Job summary

Thomas Cuisine in Meridian, Idaho, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Corporate Finance team. You will support month-end/year-end close, financial reporting, payroll accounting, and tax compliance while upholding U.S. GAAP and strong internal controls.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive accuracy and continuous improvement in accounting processes, ensuring timely financial reporting and adherence to regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience with multi-state sales and use tax, payroll, and lease accounting (ASC 842).
• Experience with financial audits and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Manage month-end and year-end close processes, including client invoicing, journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Perform technical accounting research and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Maintain lease accounting records and ASC 842 compliance.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and resolve reconciling items.
• Oversee payroll accounting, reconciliations, and tax reporting.
• Prepare and file multi-state sales/use tax returns.
• Assist with audit and tax reporting standardization.
• Analyze financial data and suggest process improvements.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with operations for accurate financial reporting.
