Job summary

Renewal by Andersen is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to join our Meridian, Idaho accounting team. This role focuses on month-end close, reconciliations, job costing, and financial reporting, with opportunities to improve processes and system interfaces.

The position requires 5-7+ years in accounting, strong GAAP knowledge, and experience with ERP or job costing systems. You’ll partner with multiple teams to ensure accurate reporting and efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent in accounting/finance.
• 5-7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including job costing or project accounting.
• Strong working knowledge of GAAP, journal entries, and financial reporting.
• Experience with complex Balance Sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules.
• Familiarity with ERP or job costing systems such as Business Central, NetSuite, Sage, or similar.
• Strong Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Office skills.
• QuickBooks Desktop proficiency required; comparable accounting software will be considered.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills with a root cause mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead month end close process and participate in monthly financial reporting.
• Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, amortizations, and reclasses; analyze variances.
• Manage job costing, project accounting, and fixed assets administration.
• Support ERP implementation, testing, automation, and system enhancements.
• Collaborate across teams; support AR, AP, payroll, and audit requests.
