Invitation Homes is seeking a Sr. Accountant, Corporate Accounting to join our energetic accounting team that delivers timely internal reporting and financial insights across corporate entities. The ideal candidate has a strong U.S.

GAAP foundation, 3+ years of experience, and CPA or CPA candidacy is a plus; a Bachelor's in accounting or related field is required. This role offers competitive compensation and benefits in a collaborative workplace.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial statements.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field required.
• CPA or CPA candidate is a plus; public accounting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive month-end close with journal entries, allocations, and reconciliations.
• Manage payroll accounting including bi-weekly payroll and related accruals.
• Coordinate with Human Resources to investigate payroll variances.
• Lead monthly analyses of income statement accounts and explain variances.
• Oversee bank reconciliations and support SOX compliance and audits.
• Record equity activity (common stock, buybacks) and liaise with Capital Markets.
