Qualifications

• Five years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience supporting audited financial statements.
• Strong Excel and accounting-system experience.
• Construction accounting, job costing, and WIP experience helpful.
• Trimble Viewpoint Spectrum or Vista experience is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Preparing bank and balance-sheet reconciliations.
• Preparing journal entries, accruals, and monthly close schedules.
• Reconciling AP, AR, payroll liabilities, retainage, fixed assets, debt, and other accounts to the general ledger.
• Assisting with job-cost, WIP, and cost-to-complete reporting.
• Reviewing HCSS quantities and other accounting data for accuracy.
• Assisting with vendor, contract, budget, subcontract, and change-order setup.
• Preparing audit schedules and tying them to the general ledger and trial balance.
• Maintaining organized, audit-ready supporting files.
• Tracking outstanding audit requests, reconciliation items, and control issues through completion.
• Helping prepare the monthly financial review package.
• Improving the PO process and other accounting controls.
