Job summary

Burchard and Associates, Inc. is seeking a Senior Accountant to support financial reporting, treasury operations, fixed asset accounting, and general ledger integrity across the company and its operating entities.

This in-office, full-time role collaborates with the CFO and divisional controllers to ensure accurate month-end close and reliable management reporting. The ideal candidate has GAAP experience, construction/project accounting familiarity, and strong Excel skills, with the ability to

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• 2+ years of accounting experience (construction or project-based industry preferred).
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and reconciliations.
• Experience with ERP systems; Acumatica experience preferred.
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems and processes.
• Proficient knowledge and skills with Microsoft Office (Excel).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
• Perform monthly balance sheet account reconciliations with supporting documentation.
• Maintain general ledger accuracy and integrity across multiple operating entities.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Assist with intercompany accounting and reconciliations.
• Assist with project accounting and WIP reporting processes.
• Review vendor invoices for proper coding and job cost allocation.
• Assist with billing documentation and customer invoicing as needed.
