Job summary

Penske in Reading, PA seeks a Senior Accountant to review financial statements, journal entries, and variance reports. You will identify cost recovery and process improvements, supporting field locations nationwide.

The role requires 3+ years in accounting, a bachelor's in accounting (CPA preferred), and strong MS Office and communication skills. Travel and background checks are part of the process.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years experience in accounting
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA preferred
• Proficiency with MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
• Experience with AS400 and/or Savvion preferred
• Strong communication skills required
• Willingness to travel and pass background check and drug screening

Responsibilities

• Maintains financial records and prepares monthly consolidated financial reports and analysis
• Investigates balance sheet fluctuations and documents differences for management
• Prepare process measures to monitor GL feeds and work with global teams
• Reconcile sub-systems to general ledger to support balance sheet accounts
• Prepare financial analyses to support Penske's financial position
• Assist supervisors in monthly balance sheet preparation, review, and sign-off
• Work with global teams on assigned projects
• Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor
