Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing/Transportation Solutions is seeking an Accounting Supervisor for the Controllership team in Reading, PA. You will lead an accounting staff, review work, coach performance, and ensure accurate, timely deliverables across GAAP processes.

You will partner with management to align priorities, drive continuous improvement, manage risk, and communicate with stakeholders and senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting required.
• 5+ years accounting experience required.
• Supervisory experience a plus.
• CPA preferred.
• MBA preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required.
• Proficiency with Qlik Sense and Power Query preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication with stakeholders.
• Strong problem solving, time management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day and month end accounting operations by overseeing team deliverables with accuracy and timely submission.
• Translate GAAP knowledge into practical guidance for the team and keep procedures current.
• Maintain a strong control environment by overseeing risk assessments and control documentation.
• Use KPIs to spot trends, drive accountability, and improve team output and processes.
• Foster continuous improvement by coaching staff and implementing growth plans.
• Develop and inspire your team through feedback and growth plans.
• Anticipate roadblocks, resolve issues, and communicate risks to management.
