Penske Truck Leasing Co., L.P. is seeking a Senior Accountant to review financial statements, journal entries, and variance reports while identifying cost recovery and process improvement opportunities.

The role provides accounting support to Penske field locations across the United States. The ideal candidate has 3–4 years of accounting experience, a bachelor’s degree in accounting, and strong MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting required, CPA preferred.
• 3-4 years' experience in accounting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with AS400 preferred.
• Strong communication skills.
• Willingness to travel and undergo background investigations and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Maintains financial records and financial statements and prepares various monthly consolidated financial reports and analysis.
• Investigates material fluctuations on the balance sheet and documents differences for management.
• Prepare process measures to monitor sources that feed general ledger. Work with global teams.
• Reconcile sub-system to general ledger to provide support for balance sheet accounts.
• Prepare financial analysis to support financial position of Penske.
• Assist the supervisors in monthly preparation, review, and sign-off of balance sheet.
• Work with global teams.
• Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
