Vaco is seeking a Senior Accountant in Charlotte, NC to own core month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting. You will analyze activity, drive improvements, and partner with teams across the business to enhance efficiency and scalability.

The ideal candidate has 2–6+ years of accounting experience, solid GAAP knowledge, advanced Excel skills, and comfort with ERP systems. Public accounting exposure is valued, with a focus on accuracy and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2–6+ years of accounting experience with increasing levels of responsibility.
• Public accounting experience or experience within a private equity-backed, acquisitive, or high-growth organization is highly valued.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with ERP systems.
• Proven ability to streamline processes and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels of an organization.

Responsabilidades

• Manage core month-end close responsibilities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Review and reconcile balance sheet accounts while researching and resolving discrepancies.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting deliverables.
• Analyze account activity and financial results, identifying trends and explaining fluctuations.
• Support enhancements to accounting procedures, internal controls, and reporting processes.
• Collaborate with business partners across departments to drive operational improvements and efficiencies.
• Participate in annual audit activities and coordinate responses to auditor requests.
• Contribute to special projects, process improvement initiatives, and system implementation efforts.
• Maintain and enhance accounting policies, documentation, and process controls to support continued growth.
