Job summary

Tri-Starr Talent seeks an experienced accounting professional for a fully onsite role in San Antonio, TX. You will own key accounting functions, perform financial analysis, and drive process improvements within a close-knit team. The ideal candidate has 5+ years progressive accounting experience, strong knowledge of U.S.

GAAP, month-end close, and fixed assets. CPA or CPA-track and Big 4 exposure are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; MBA or advanced degree a plus.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong background in financial reporting, month-end close, and fixed asset accounting.
• Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP, AP/AR processes, and internal controls.
• Experience with partnerships and/or LLCs.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Construction, energy, or renewable industry experience a plus.
• CPA or CPA-track and Big 4 experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage general ledger activities, complex journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
• Lead month-end close activities and prepare accurate financial statements and management reports.
• Analyze monthly financial results, budget variances, and operating trends.
• Oversee fixed asset accounting, including construction-in-progress, depreciation, amortization, and asset disposals.
• Review bank, AP, AR, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Support accounting and financial reporting for partnership and LLC entities, including intercompany transactions.
• Prepare cash flow forecasts, state tax filings, and required government reporting.
• Coordinate audit and tax requests while maintaining strong documentation and internal controls.
