Job summary

Irvine Company is seeking a senior accountant to maintain the integrity and accuracy of financial statements by applying accounting principles for month-end close, reconciliations, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. You will partner with cross-functional teams to provide insights and ensure accurate financial results.

Responsibilities include journal entries, reconciliations, monthly reporting, and supporting internal and external audits.

Qualifications

Advanced Excel with pivot tables and complex formulas
Strong written and verbal communication
Proficiency in Google Suite and ERP environments (SAP)

Responsibilities

Perform month-end close functions and journal entries
Lead process improvements, system enhancements, meetings, and training sessions
Prepare and manage reconciliations for GL accounts and research variances
Generate monthly reports and provide variance commentary
Support internal and external audit requests with accurate data
Engage in cross-training to promote career growth and coverage
Oversee expenses, analyze variances, budgeting, forecasting, and REVET presentations for leadership
Collaborate with department heads to monitor budgets and payroll data, and support ad hoc requests
