Job summary

Nautilus Biotechnology is seeking a Senior Accountant to maintain the integrity of financial records, support a controlled month-end close, and oversee accounts payable. This role reports to the Associate Director of Accounting and works with offshore teams to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, a degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred), strong U.S. GAAP knowledge, and proficiency with NetSuite and Excel.

Qualifications

• 4+ years progressive accounting experience.
• Degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.
• Solid U.S. GAAP knowledge, including accruals and prepaid expenses.
• Experience with SOX controls documentation and testing.
• Proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Execute monthly close process with journal entries for accruals and prepaids.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and resolve items.
• Maintain SOX 404 controls and supporting docs.
• Collaborate with FP&A and cross-functional teams on estimates.
• Assist with audits and policy implementations.
• Support system improvements as the company scales.
