Job summary

Orthodontic Experts is seeking a Senior Accountant to supervise accounting operations and the financial close, ensuring accurate reporting for clinics across the Chicagoland area, and neighboring states. You will coordinate core accounting functions, drive compliance, and support growth with robust controls.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in accounting and proven month-end/year-end experience, excellent communication, and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of hands-on accounting and general ledger experience.
• Experience managing month-end and year-end close processes.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial analysis.
• Manage company credit card programs across multiple business entities, ensuring timely reconciliation and compliance with company policies.
• Develop, document, and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to strengthen financial processes.
• Perform general ledger entries, reconciliations, and adjusting entries to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Provide guidance, training, and support to Bookkeepers and the Accounts Payable Clerk.
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and financial projections by analyzing historical and current financial data.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting efficiency, and internal controls.
• Protect the company’s value by keeping information confidential.
• Other tasks as assigned
