Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting and/or finance experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on general ledger accounting experience.
• Experience preparing and filing multi-state sales and use tax returns, including Texas and Louisiana.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with MS Office applications.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Accounting team to complete monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities on schedule.
• Prepare and post recurring and non-recurring journal entries and perform reconciliations.
• Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for audits and internal controls (SOX).
• Manage weekly and biweekly U.S. payroll cycles, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Support state tax compliance, including multi-state sales/use tax returns and Avalara activities.
• Identify and implement process improvements across accounting functions and collaborate across teams.
