Job summary

TAGAWA GREENHOUSE ENTERPRISES LLC in Brighton, Colorado, seeks a hands-on Senior Accountant to join the Accounting and Finance team. You will manage general ledger activity, assist with month-end close, prepare financial statements, and help strengthen internal controls.

The role requires at least 5 years of accounting experience, a Bachelor's in accounting or related field, and proficiency with Excel and ERP software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field; strong GAAP knowledge.
• At least 5 years accounting experience; Senior/Staff Accountant experience preferred.
• Experience in agriculture/greenhouse industry is a plus but not required.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
• Proficient in MS Excel and ERP/accounting software; audit/data analysis capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform general ledger entries, reconciliations, accruals, and adjusting entries.
• Maintain and analyze account activity records and reconciliations.
• Support month-end, quarterly, and year-end close processes with CFO.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Manage journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations; resolve discrepancies.
• Develop operating budgets and analyze variances for departments/product lines.
• Assist with cash flow reporting and forecasting.
• Support AP, AR, payroll, and fixed asset accounting as needed.
• Maintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation calculations.
• Assist with inventory accounting, reconciliations, and related analysis.
• Prepare schedules and documentation for external auditors and tax professionals.
• Assist management with special projects and financial analysis.
