Job summary

Wegner CPAs is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting for a client portfolio, ensuring timely financial reporting and strong client service.

You’ll use Bill.com, Sage Intacct and QuickBooks Online, mentor staff, review GLs, and collaborate with tax teams and auditors. Hybrid/remote options available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Accounting.
• 3–5 years of accounting or related professional experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Excel and MS Office.
• Knowledge of GAAP and general ledger accounting software.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to build effective relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting and reporting activities for assigned clients.
• Coordinate client workflows with tax teams, auditors, and other advisors.
• Supervise A/P, A/R, and payroll staff on engagements.
• Prepare reconciliations and month-end close.
• Review GL entries and coding for accuracy and completeness.
