Job summary

Right Choice Accounting Solutions LLC in Duluth, GA is hiring a Staff / Senior Accountant to own and oversee the day-to-day accounting for a portfolio of clients. This role requires initiative, accuracy, and the ability to keep books current, including journal entries, payroll processing, and month-end close, while keeping leadership informed.

You will work hybrid from our Duluth office during training and then hybrid thereafter, collaborating with leadership and growing into the Client Advisory

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required).
• 2+ years hands-on accounting or bookkeeping experience.
• Experience reviewing others' work, overseeing day-to-day productivity, and managing multiple clients' books at once (preferred).
• QuickBooks Online experience (preferred).
• Working knowledge of US GAAP, reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close.
• Strong attention to detail and the judgment to know what to fix versus what to expedite.
• Excellent communication skills. Willing to ask questions and keep the team updated.
• A reliable, organized, self-managing work style.
• Must be able to work from our Duluth, GA office during training, then hybrid.
• A collaborative, team-oriented mindset and a personality that adds to our positive office culture.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day accounting work and keep every client on schedule.
• Review work for accuracy before it moves forward.
• Flag issues early and keep leadership updated on status.
• Prepare recurring and adjusting journal entries.
• Support the full month-end close process.
• Process payroll for clients' employees and contractors under our standard procedures.
• Categorize transactions in QuickBooks Online accurately and completely.
• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations across a portfolio of client companies.
• Clean up and correct existing books where needed.
• Work directly with clients.
• Communicate regularly and clearly with the team on status, blockers, and needs.
• Use Right Choice systems and communication methods to stay "in the loop" with the team.
• Never guess. Always use the team as a resource when things are unclear.
