Job summary

Innovative Captive Strategies (ICS) in the United States is seeking a Senior Accountant to lead financial management of complex captive programs, preparing statements and ensuring regulatory compliance. This role includes ensuring accurate reporting and governance across multiple domiciles.

This position oversees day-to-day accounting, advises clients on captive design and performance, and coordinates with actuaries, auditors, and regulators while supporting board materials and strategic growth

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, risk management, finance, insurance, business, or a related field.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
• Experience in captive insurance management or related risk consulting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review captive financial statements.
• Provide accounting oversight and ensure regulatory and corporate compliance.
• Lead day-to-day and long-term management of assigned captive insurance programs.
• Act as a strategic advisor to clients on captive design, optimization, and performance.
• Analyze and communicate financial results, including underwriting performance, surplus, reserves, and projections.
• Prepare and present board materials, financial reports, actuarial analyses, and business plans.
• Coordinate with actuaries, auditors, attorneys, fronting carriers, reinsurers, and regulators.
• Ensure compliance with captive domicile requirements and governance best practices.
• Identify opportunities for innovation, program enhancements, and captive growth strategies.
• Mentor and support captive team members, fostering development and collaboration.
• Participate in client board meetings and strategic planning discussions.
