Job summary

Best Buy is seeking a Finance Senior Analyst to support compensation and benefits accounting, including accruals, reserves, and self-insured group benefits. This hybrid role involves on-site collaboration with various teams and remote work flexibility.

The candidate will lead month-end close, journal entries, and SOX control maintenance, while improving processes with AI tools. Preference for GAAP experience, strong Excel skills, and a Bachelor’s degree in accounting.

Qualifications

• 2 years of work experience in an accounting capacity.
• Intermediate proficiency in Excel.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• Experience researching and applying U.S. GAAP in a large organization.
• Knowledge of internal controls and SOX preferred.
• Experience with AI/automation tools to improve processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform month-end close activities with journal entries and variance analysis.
• Execute and maintain key SOX controls for the Bonuses process.
• Identify automation opportunities and implement solutions.
• Research accounting considerations for new benefit programs and document conclusions.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and risk assessment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on projects.
