Job summary

The Senior Accountant at Taylor Kline Inc. will ensure financial records meet high standards, analyze documents, record and verify transactions, and resolve discrepancies to safeguard accuracy.

Responsibilities include preparing reports such as P&L statements, overseeing intercompany transactions, and supporting audit readiness while ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations and company policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• Minimum 5 years in a similar role.
• Experience with intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
• ERP systems knowledge: Sage/Timberline; E’Cms knowledge a plus.
• Knowledge of non-profit tax filing and compliance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Confidentiality and data security practices in financial apps.
• Proficiency with Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Create and analyze liability, asset, and capital accounts with documentation.
• Prepare financial reports including profit and loss statements.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Develop SOPs for accounting policies and reconciliation procedures.
• Maintain an updated audit system and implement new policies in finance.
• Guide junior accountants and coordinate training.
• Focus on tax compliance, state registrations, contract review, and non-profit filings.
• Support other departments and provide timely financial reporting.
