Job summary

Capitol Broadcasting Company is seeking a full-time Senior Accountant for Corporate Finance and Accounting. The role owns treasury and cash reconciliation, payroll and benefits accounting, month-end close, and audit deliverables, partnering with the Assistant Corporate Controller, Accounting Manager, and BU finance leaders to ensure accurate reconciliations and scalable processes.

The ideal candidate has strong GAAP knowledge, advanced Excel, and experience with ERP systems (Oracle Fusion).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; 150 credit hours completed or in progress, per NC CPA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Own treasury and cash management activities including daily transaction review and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare and post payroll and payroll-related benefits entries; reconcile related liability accounts.
• Lead month-end close tasks, intercompany allocations, accruals, and fixed asset reconciliations.
• Support the audit process with PBC schedules and coordination with auditors.
• Develop and deploy AI-assisted automations to improve reconciliations, close, and audit prep.
