Job summary

Tempur Sealy is a leading designer, manufacturer, distributor, and retailer of bedding products. This accounting role supports AR & AP, cost accounting, financial reporting, and global reporting with GAAP compliance. You will liaise with internal teams to meet SEC and internal reporting deadlines.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in accounting with 4 years of experience, CPA preferred, and experience in ERP systems, especially Microsoft Dynamics AX2012. Location: Trinity, NC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• 4 years of related experience or training.
• CPA license is preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• ERP systems experience required; Microsoft Dynamics AX2012 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the completion of accounting activities in AR & AP, Cost Accounting, Financial Reporting, and related areas.
• Ensure all final work products are timely and GAAP compliant.
• Ensure reports and filings comply with Sarbanes-Oxley and SEC regulations.
• Use GAAP to prepare timely SEC disclosures and internal reports.
• Review and explain financial reports to assist management decisions.
• Coordinate with internal departments to achieve accounting objectives and close reporting deadlines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Do (Essential Duties and Responsibilities):

• Lead the completion of accounting activities within one or more of the following accounting discipline areas: AR & AP, Cost Accounting, Financial Reporting, Global Financial Reporting, Internal Auditing, Inventory Control, and Payroll.
• Ensure that all final work product is timely and GAAP compliant.
• Ensure that all necessary reports and filings comply with Sarbanes Oxley and SEC regulations.
• Use GAAP to prepare and manage the timely completion of all relevant reports and disclosures required by the SEC and management.
• These reports include SEC compliance filings and documents for internal and external reporting.
• Assist management in making informed decisions by reviewing, analyzing, and explaining financial reports.
• Take a lead role in coordinating with the necessary internal departments to complete accounting objectives and other company goals.
• Assist in leading the close reporting process ensuring that all deadlines are met.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Need (Qualifications):

Pay Range: $84,150 - $113,850 #LI-DNP
