Job summary

Tempur Sealy is seeking an experienced accounting professional to lead accounting activities across AR & AP, cost accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls. You will ensure GAAP- and SEC-compliant reporting and support management with financial analysis and timely disclosures.

The role requires strong MS Office skills, a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, and 4 years of relevant experience; CPA is preferred. This on-site position offers competitive benefits and growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Lead accounting activities in AR & AP, Cost Accounting, Financial Reporting, and related areas.
• Ensure GAAP compliance in final work products.
• Ensure reports comply with Sarbanes-Oxley and SEC regulations.
• Prepare and manage SEC filings and internal/external reporting disclosures.
• Assist management by reviewing and explaining financial reports.
• Coordinate with internal departments to meet accounting objectives.
• Lead the close reporting process to meet deadlines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Do (Essential Duties and Responsibilities):

• Lead the completion of accounting activities within one or more of the following accounting discipline areas: AR & AP, Cost Accounting, Financial Reporting, Global Financial Reporting, Internal Auditing, Inventory Control, and Payroll.
• Ensure that all final work product is timely and GAAP compliant.
• Ensure that all necessary reports and filings comply with Sarbanes Oxley and SEC regulations.
• Use GAAP to prepare and manage the timely completion of all relevant reports and disclosures required by the SEC and management. These reports include SEC compliance filings and documents for internal and external reporting.
• Assist management in making informed decisions by reviewing, analyzing, and explaining financial reports.
• Take a lead role in coordinating with the necessary internal departments to complete accounting objectives and other company goals.
• Assist in leading the close reporting process ensuring that all deadlines are met.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Pay Range: $84,150 - $113,850
