Job summary

Confidential Employer in Grand Rapids, MI seeks an experienced accounting professional with hands-on Acumatica ERP experience to own daily accounting operations, including AP, AR, GL, invoicing, and journal entries. You will be the in-house Acumatica expert guiding the transition from QuickBooks to Acumatica.

This role offers a clear path toward Accounting Manager responsibilities, FP&A, and broader financial leadership.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience using Acumatica ERP for daily accounting activities.
• Minimum 3+ years of accounting operations experience.
• Working knowledge of AP, AR, general ledger, reconciliations, and financial transactions.
• Ability to independently manage accounting responsibilities while collaborating with a small team.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of daily accounting operations, including AP, AR, GL, invoicing, and journal entries.
• Serve as our in-house Acumatica expert and support the transition from QuickBooks to Acumatica ERP.
• Manage financial transactions involving payments, purchase orders, inventory, payroll, and expense reporting.
• Guide and support two experienced, part-time accounting team members.
• Partner with our Financial Controller to streamline processes, improve accuracy, and strengthen financial reporting.
• Expand responsibilities into FP&A, budgeting, audits, and strategic financial initiatives as you grow.

Note

Hands‑on Acumatica ERP experience performing everyday accounting transactions is required. We are looking for someone who has actively used Acumatica in an accounting role, not solely in software implementation or consulting. Prior management experience and a college degree are not required.

• Bachelor's degree, CPA certification, and prior supervisory experience are not required.
