Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required or equivalent.
  • CPA license or eligibility to sit for the CPA exam is required.
  • Two or more years of public accounting experience, including audit and attestation services, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and perform audit, review, and other assurance engagements for privately held businesses and organizations.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for client personnel, proactively gathering information and communicating engagement status.
  • Plan and execute audit procedures, including risk assessment, testing, documentation, and evaluation of audit results.
  • Prepare and review workpapers, financial statements, footnotes, management letters, and client correspondence.
  • Apply professional standards and firm methodologies to support high-quality engagement execution and documentation.
  • Identify accounting, auditing, internal control, and financial reporting matters and communicate them to managers and partners.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor staff, including reviewing work and providing constructive feedback.
  • Manage multiple engagements, deadlines, and priorities while maintaining strong ownership and accountability.

About the Role

This role is ideal for a public accounting professional with approximately 2 to 6 years of experience who is ready to perform and lead audit and assurance engagements with increasing independence. The Senior Accountant will support high-quality financial reporting, audit execution, client communication, and team development while managing multiple engagements and deadlines.

As a Senior Accountant, You Can Expect To:
  • Lead and perform audit, review, and other assurance engagements for privately held businesses and organizations.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for client personnel, proactively gathering information and communicating engagement status.

  • Experience with public accounting workflow and research tools is helpful, including CCH Engagement, Axcess Practice, WorkStream, Knowledge Coach, and Fixed Assets CS.
