Job summary

CFS is seeking a Senior Accountant to deliver accurate financial reporting and support the budgeting, regulatory reporting, and investment portfolio accounting processes. The role offers direct interaction with accounting leadership and cross-department collaboration in a stable community banking setting.

Ideal candidates have an associate degree in Accounting or related field, 5+ years of accounting experience, and strong Excel and financial reporting knowledge.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field.
• 5+ years of accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel.

Responsibilities

• Review invoices, accruals, prepaid expenses, tax estimates, and accounting entries for accuracy.
• Support the annual budgeting process and provide financial insights to leadership.
• Maintain and reconcile accounting records related to the bank’s investment portfolio.
• Assist with regulatory reporting, audits, examinations, Call Reports, and other required filings.
• Monitor daily liquidity and prepare cash position reporting.
• Provide backup support for accounting and financial reporting functions.
