Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and post journal entries and complete complex general ledger account reconciliations.
• Support month-end and year-end close, partnering with other departments to validate financial information and resolve account variances.
• Analyze financial data, prepare financial statements and reports, and support management recommendations and special projects.
• Support accounts payable, including invoice verification, coding, payment processing, and discrepancy resolution.
• Coordinate timely, accurate state sales tax filings and maintain supporting documentation.
• Support internal and external audits and compliance activities while maintaining accurate, organized, and confidential financial records.

Job description

Our client is an organization in the Ozaukee County area that’s looking for a Senior Accountant. Our client is looking for someone with 4+ years of experience, has excellent communication skills, and is analytical. This company offers a collaborative team, a strong work/life balance, and high visibility. This position is hybrid.

The salary for this position is up to $85K - $110K.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare, review, and post journal entries and complete complex general ledger account reconciliations.

The Senior Accountant will possess the following:

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with ERP or accounting software.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with sound judgment when handling confidential information.
