Overview

A leading company in the manufacturing and distribution industry is seeking a driven Senior Accountant to join their corporate accounting team located near Russell, WI. This is a hands-on, fully onsite, data-focused role ideal for someone who enjoys analyzing financial information, researching technical accounting topics, and supporting leadership with accurate, actionable insights. The pay is based on experience, ranging from $80,000-$130,000, including a full benefits package.

What You’ll Do

• Support the monthly close process for corporate accounting, ensuring accuracy and compliance within a fast-paced 4-day close cycle.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, reconcile accounts, and assist with consolidations
• Research technical GAAP topics, determine applicability, and present recommendations to leadership.
• Review and strengthen internal controls and support process improvements.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to compile data, analyze trends, and deliver clear financial recommendations.
• Work with large data sets (hundreds to thousands of rows) to identify insights and ensure data accuracy.
• Use Excel extensively (pivot tables, formulas required; VBA and Macros are a plus).
• Operate within an Oracle ERP environment (SQL experience is a plus, but can be taught).

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience in a manufacturing or distribution setting.
• Public accounting backgrounds with diverse client exposure are also encouraged to apply.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.
• Experience preparing or reviewing financial statements and supporting the month-end close process.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, advanced formulas).
• Experience with ERP systems (Oracle preferred).
• Familiarity with internal controls and audit support.
• CPA or CPA eligibility is a plus.
