Job summary

Creative Financial Staffing, LLC in Columbus, OH is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our finance team in a hybrid role. You will lead monthly close activities, ensure accurate general ledger entries, and support cross-entity reporting with a focus on process improvements.

The successful candidate has 3–5 years of accounting experience with solid US GAAP knowledge, and preferably CPA eligibility. Excellent Excel skills and collaboration across departments are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
• 3-5 years of accounting experience with strong US GAAP knowledge.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables and lookup functions.
• CPA designation or CPA eligibility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the monthly financial close and consolidation process across multiple entities.
• Prepare journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and cost allocations to maintain general ledger accuracy.
• Prepare and file sales, use, local, state, and federal tax-related schedules and returns.
• Develop ad hoc financial reporting and analysis to support management decision-making.
• Identify and implement process improvements that increase accounting efficiency and accuracy.

Target Compensation:

$80,000 – $100,000

Key Responsibilities for the Senior Accountant:
