Job summary

CFS in Columbus, OH is seeking a Senior Accountant to lead monthly close, consolidate across entities, and ensure GAAP compliance. You will prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and tax-related schedules while partnering across departments on financial initiatives.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field, 3–5 years of accounting experience with US GAAP, and strong Excel skills. CPA designation is preferred, with a hybrid work arrangement and solid benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of accounting experience with strong US GAAP knowledge.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills with pivot tables and lookups; CPA designation or CPA eligibility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the monthly financial close and consolidation process across multiple entities.
• Prepare journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and cost allocations to maintain general ledger accuracy.
• Prepare and file sales, use, local, state, and federal tax-related schedules and returns.
• Develop ad hoc financial reporting and analysis to support management decision-making.
• Identify and implement process improvements that increase accounting efficiency and accuracy.
