A growing manufacturing organization is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their team in a newly created role. This fully remote position will involve overseeing month-end closing processes and ensuring balance sheet integrity through reconciliations across multiple entities. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and at least 3 years of relevant experience, including operational accounting. Qualifications

• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Manufacturing, inventory, or operational accounting experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating across teams.
• Strong general ledger and balance sheet reconciliation skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) and Concur is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform timely and accurate balance sheet reconciliations across multiple entities.
• Support a 10-day month-end close, including journal entries and accruals.
• Assist with general ledger accounting in a manufacturing environment.
• Work within Microsoft Dynamics GP ERP; support system enhancements as needed.
• Manage accounting activity through Concur (AP invoices and expenses).
• Track and account for fixed assets, leases, and related debt obligations.
• Monitor payments related to major equipment and long-term assets.
• Collaborate with Controller, AP, and AR teams.

This role reports directly to the Controller and will play a key role in supporting month-end close, balance sheet integrity and divisional accounting across multiple operating entities.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform timely and accurate balance sheet reconciliations across multiple entities
• Support a 10-day month-end close, including journal entries and accruals
• Assist with general ledger accounting in a manufacturing and inventory-based environment
• Work within a Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) ERP environment; support system enhancements as needed
• Manage accounting activity through Concur, including AP invoices and employee expense reporting
• Track and account for fixed assets, capital leases, and related debt obligations
• Monitor and record payments related to major equipment and long-term assets
• Partner closely with the Controller, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable teams
• Support inventory accounting for raw materials and production equipment
• Assist with internal controls and process improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Manufacturing, inventory, or operational accounting experience strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and balance sheet reconciliations
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) preferred
• Experience with Concur invoice and expense workflows a plus
• Exposure to fixed assets, capital leases, and debt accounting
• Ability to work independently while collaborating across teams
