Senior Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to manage and optimize our U.S. accounting operations, focusing specifically on Order to Cash (O2C) and Accounts Receivable (AR) within a fast-paced SaaS environment. This role is essential for ensuring accurate revenue recognition, efficient billing, collections, and cash applications, while adhering to GAAP, ASC 606, and internal controls.

The ideal candidate will possess expertise in subscription-based revenue models, deferred revenue, and the complexities of SaaS billing. This position requires strong collaboration with various teams, a focus on process improvement, and the ability to succeed in a high-growth environment.


Key Responsibilities:

• Order to Cash Management:Oversee the full O2C process, including contract processing, invoicing, collections, and revenue recognition. Ensure accurate billing for various revenue streams. Collaborate with other departments to review contracts. Manage third-party partner revenue and drive automation improvements.
• Accounts Receivable & Collections:Manage AR aging, resolve outstanding payments, analyze billing trends, and implement effective collection strategies. Oversee cash application processes and reconcile payments. Manage bad debt provisions and write-offs.
• Revenue Recognition & Compliance:Ensure compliance with ASC 606, oversee monthly revenue recognition, support month-end close processes, and assist with audits.
• Process Improvement:Identify opportunities to enhance billing, collections, and reconciliation processes. Maintain and optimize CRM (Salesforce), Billing (VersaPay), and ERP (Intacct) systems.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of accounting experience, with a focus on O2C, AR, and revenue accounting, preferably in a SaaS company.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, ASC 606, and deferred revenue accounting.
• Experience with subscription-based revenue models and contract-based billing.
• Proficiency in Sage Intacct (or similar ERP) and Salesforce (or similar CRM).
• Strong Excel proficiency.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Detail-oriented and highly organized.

Education & Experience:

• BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
