Job description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Accountant to manage our day-to-day accounting operations, focusing on efficient invoicing, payment follow-up, and vendor invoice validation. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and be proficient in using Tally, Excel, and online background check portals. This role requires a proactive individual with excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities:

1. Generate and send timely invoices to clients.
2. Diligently follow up on outstanding payments.
3. Validate vendor invoices for accuracy and completeness.
4. Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable.
5. Ensure compliance with GST regulations.
6. Maintain accurate financial records in Tally and Excel.
7. Utilize our background check portal for vendor verification.
8. Working knowledge of TDS.
9. Collaborate with other team members to improve accounting processes.
10. Handle other accounting-related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
2. Minimum of 4 years of relevant accounting experience.
3. Proven expertise in managing accounts receivable, accounts payable, and GST compliance.
4. Strong proficiency in Tally and Excel.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
8. Must be located in or near Mumbai and available for in-person meetings 3-4 times per month.
