Hybrid - Senior Accountant
Salary: $80,000 - $90,000 per year
This is a full-time, permanent position with competitive compensation and benefits.
Responsibilities
- Preparation and analysis of financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Performing account reconciliations and resolving any discrepancies.
- Participating in budget preparation and financial forecasting.
- Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements.
- Assisting with internal and external audits to ensure compliance.
- Streamlining accounting functions and operations to improve accuracy and efficiency.
- Providing financial analysis and reports to management for decision-making purposes.
- Overseeing the work of junior accounting staff.
- Identifying opportunities for process improvements to increase accuracy and efficiency.
- Maintaining confidentiality and discretion when dealing with sensitive financial information.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably within the engineering industry.
- In-depth knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills.
- Experience with accounting software and databases.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
