This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting client reporting through general ledger management, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation. The Accountant ensures data integrity, analyzes account activity, and helps translate operational activity into accurate financial results. Knowledge of GAAP and oil & gas accounting principles is important.

Key Responsibilities

General Ledger & Close

Maintain general ledger and sub‑ledgers for assigned clients
Prepare and review journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
Assist with month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close
Prepare GAAP‑compliant financial statements and P&L analysis

Analysis & Operations Support

Investigate account activity and resolve variances
Review operational and property‑related reports
Support management reporting and financial analysis
Maintain fixed asset and oil & gas property records

Client & Team Partnership

Act as a primary accounting contact for clients
Address financial questions and reporting needs
Work cross‑functionally to resolve accounting matters

Audit, Tax & Process Support

Assist with audit and tax documentation requests
Use internal systems to complete accounting tasks accuratelyFollow established processes while identifying improvement opportunities
