Job summary

SolomonEdwards is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join the Corporate Accounting team of a large distribution company in the Philadelphia area. The role involves supporting the monthly close under GAAP, preparing journal entries and reconciliations, and performing detailed analyses to improve accuracy and efficiency.

The candidate will conduct accounting research, track budget-to-actuals, assist with fixed assets, and support annual audits as well as special projects.

Qualifications

• BS in Accounting or Finance.
• 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or retail preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the monthly close and reporting process in accordance with GAAP.
• Prepare and/or review journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Perform accounting research to determine proper classification and recording of transactions.
