The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, strong month-end close skills, and a solid GAAP foundation. Collaboration with operational and corporate teams is key to delivering accurate financials and supporting audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.
• Experience with month-end close, general ledger accounting, and GAAP standards is expected.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of key areas of the monthly accounting cycle and help drive the close process forward.
• Review financial activity and investigate unusual trends, discrepancies, or variances.
• Prepare and review reconciliations, journal entries, and other accounting support.
• Help ensure financial information is complete, accurate, and delivered on time.
• Work closely with operational and corporate teams to understand the numbers behind the business.
• Assist with financial reporting and provide analysis for leadership decisions.
• Support external audit requests and maintain strong accounting documentation.
• Identify inefficient or manual processes and help create more scalable accounting procedures.
• Serve as a resource and mentor to less-experienced accounting professionals.
• Take on increasing leadership responsibility as you grow into the position.

Who We're Looking For

We are particularly interested in candidates who have strong Senior Accountant-level experience but have reached a point where they are ready for broader ownership and leadership exposure.

The ideal background may include:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Approximately 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong understanding of month-end close and general ledger accounting
• Experience with reconciliations, journal entries, financial statement preparation, and variance analysis
• Solid understanding of GAAP
• Strong Excel skills and comfort working with large amounts of financial data
• Experience mentoring, reviewing work, training, or acting as a go-to resource for junior accountants
• Exposure to audit support, controls, process improvement, or accounting systems
• Ability to work across departments and communicate effectively with both accounting and operational stakeholders
