Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Senior Accountant in Ohio to lead all accounting operations, manage monthly closes, and partner with executive leadership to improve profitability and financial processes.

You will supervise the accounting team, develop reports and KPIs, ensure GAAP compliance, and drive continuous process improvements in a fast-growing organization serving OEM customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP.
• Experience leading month-end close and financial reporting.
• Experience managing accounting staff.
• Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

• Ability to work cross-functionally with operations and executive leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead all accounting operations and supervise the accounting team.
• Prepare timely and accurate monthly financial statements.
• Oversee month-end and year-end close processes.
• Maintain compliance with GAAP and internal accounting controls.
• Manage general ledger activities, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
• Develop financial reports, dashboards, and KPIs for executive leadership.
• Analyze profitability, margins, pricing, and operating performance.
• Monitor company cash flow and working capital.
• Oversee Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, payroll, and employee benefits administration.
• Partner with operations, quality, warehouse, and leadership teams to improve financial performance.
• Support inventory reporting and financial system accuracy.
• Develop and improve accounting policies, procedures, and financial processes.
• Assist leadership with budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.
• Provide financial recommendations that improve business performance and long-term profitability.
