Job summary

Avispa MedOps is seeking a Senior Accountant to support general accounting operations, including month-end close, intercompany processes, and corporate reporting for its digital and direct-to-consumer business. This onsite role is based in San Francisco, CA.

The candidate will lead month-end close, own intercompany reporting, and participate in annual reporting to Corporate, with SOX testing and tax package prep, plus occasional backup coverage and special projects.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of related accounting experience and strong knowledge of accounting concepts.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent.
• Advanced Excel skills with complex formulas and adaptability to new systems.
• Experience with Oracle Financials and Oracle Fusion, or SAP.
• Strong written and verbal communication with timely updates on responsibilities.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to lead workflows and own projects.
• Experience with intercompany transactions preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct month-end and quarter-end close, owning journal entry preparation, account reconciliations, and analysis.
• Own full-cycle intercompany process and reporting across divisions.
• Take part in quarterly and annual reporting to Corporate.

• 40 hours/week, 6 Month Assignment (Possible extension/conversion)

A leading digital streaming network seeks a Senior Accountant to support general accounting operations, including month-end close, intercompany processes, and corporate reporting, for its digital and direct-to-consumer business.

Senior Accountant Responsibilities:

• Conduct month-end and quarter-end close, owning journal entry preparation, account reconciliations, and analysis, and perform flux analysis on balance sheet and P&L accounts.
• Own the full-cycle intercompany process and reporting across divisions, working with internal and external business partners and division leadership at all levels and communicating proactively on deliverables and status.
• Take part in quarterly and annual reporting to Corporate.
• Participate in SOX testing, audits, and annual tax package preparation.
• Provide backup coverage in other accounting areas and contribute to department and organization special projects as assigned.

Senior Accountant Qualifications:

• 4+ years of related experience, with solid knowledge of accounting concepts.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent.
• Advanced Excel skills, including writing complex formulas, and the ability to quickly pick up new systems.
• Experience with Oracle Financials and Oracle Fusion, or a similar ERP system such as SAP.
• Solid oral and written communication skills, with timely status updates on responsibilities and deadlines.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills and acute attention to detail.
• Ability to lead and facilitate workflows and take ownership of projects.
• Experience with intercompany transactions is preferred.

Shift:

• 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM or 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
• Overtime may be needed after business hours during monthly and quarterly close.
