Job summary

NOW CFO is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our Salt Lake City consulting team. You will supervise, track, and evaluate day-to-day accounting activities, developing and implementing systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting information. GAAP knowledge is essential to succeed in this role.

As a Senior Accountant consultant, you’ll manage all accounting operations for diverse clients, collaborate with external auditors, and help ensure accurate financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Requires accounting/finance degree and GAAP knowledge.
• Strong leadership and analytical abilities are essential.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary.
• Proficiency with Excel, including VLOOKUP and pivot tables, is expected.

Responsibilities

• Handle sales tax filings, bank and credit card reconciliations, royalties accounting, and accruals.
• Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
• Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
• Standardize and maintain a system of accounting records and techniques.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes, and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Serve as primary contact for external auditors.

Job Summary

NOW CFO is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our Salt Lake Cityconsulting team. As a Senior Accountant consultant, you’ll supervise, track, and evaluate day-to-day accounting activities, establishing financial status by developing and implementing systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting information. Day-to-day responsibilities will vary depending on each client’s size and needs. To succeed in this role, you should have in-depth knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Key Responsibilities

• Handle sales tax filings, bank and credit card reconciliations, royalties accounting, and accruals
• Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition
• Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles
• Standardize and maintain a system of accounting records and techniques
• Support month-end and year-end close processes, and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations

Qualifications

• Accounting or Finance degree (BS/BA/MBA)
• Previous experience in accounting management or related fields
• Thorough knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles and procedures
• Strong Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and other advanced spreadsheet functions
• Strong leadership, analytical, and critical-thinking skills
• Client-focused with excellent written and verbal communication skills
