Biogensys is seeking a Senior Accountant for our Sacramento, CA engagement. The role focuses on reviewing ARPA reimbursement draw requests, ensuring alignment with contract terms, and reconciling costs in COMPASS (SAP).

The position requires solid GAAP knowledge, cost accounting experience, and the ability to produce detailed financial reports, with duties including potential audit support and SEFA reporting collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Review reimbursement draw requests for ARPA compliance.
• Review costs claimed to contracts for consistency with approvals.
• Reconcile costs to COMPASS (SAP) to confirm incurred costs and payments.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. Treasury, OMB and contract terms.
• Assist in compiling federal expenditures for SEFA reporting.
• Act as liaison for ARPA audits and subrecipient monitoring.

Job description

We are hiring a Senior Accountant for one of our clients in Sacramento, CA.

Job Description

• Primary staff responsible for reviewing reimbursement draw requests submitted by County departments for the American Recovery Plan Act (ARPA).
• Staff will review on sample basis costs being claimed to contracts executed.
• Nature of contracts will be reviewed/compared to actual approval of projects for consistency.
• Costs will be reconciled to COMPASS (SAP) to ensure cost has been incurred and payment received.
• Also includes compliance to U.S. Treasury rules and guidelines, Federal OMB guidelines and contract terms.
• Assist the accounting manager is the compiling of federal expenditures for SEFA reporting purposes.
• This will also include acting as a liaison for any potential audits of the ARPA program.
• Assist in the performance of subrecipient monitoring in accordance with applicable federal requirements.
• Performance of accounting related duties as identified during the normal course of operations

Skills Required

• All skills / knowledge of Accountant.
• Proven knowledge and understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and practices including cost accounting.
• Demonstrated ability to assemble, analyze and prepare reports and statements covering complex financial data.
• Accounts payable / receivable may require experience with an automated system.

Experience Required

• 2-4 yrs in accounting.

Education Required

• BA/BS, Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration

Work Hours

• The position will be onsite,
• 8:00 AM 5:00 pm M-F
