Job summary

Chase International in Reno, NV seeks an experienced accountant to lead full-cycle accounting for Core Services entities including title & escrow, property management, mortgage, and marketing services.

You will own month-end close, reconciliations and journal entries, while interfacing with leadership for accurate financial reporting. The role offers hands-on training and growth within a high-volume environment.

Qualifications

• 7–15+ years of progressively responsible hands-on accounting or full-charge bookkeeping experience preferred.
• Ownership of month-end close, reconciliations, journal entries and account analysis.
• Strong multi-entity accounting and Excel skills; QuickBooks Online experience strongly preferred.
• Real estate, title/escrow, property management, mortgage, construction or high-volume multi-entity experience is valuable.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred, CPA not required.

Responsibilities

• Own full-cycle accounting and month-end close for assigned Core Services entities; maintain ledgers and prepare journal entries.
• Reconcile intercompany billings and due-to/due-from balances; investigate differences.
• Understand, reconcile and validate operating-system reports before information reaches the QuickBooks GL.
• Review AP/AR and payroll-related accounting and maintain prepaid, fixed-asset and accrualschedules.
• Prepare monthly balance sheets, income statements and budget-to-actual reporting; investigate discrepancies and support tax/audit.
• Document recurring procedures and cross-train with Brokerage accounting personnel.

Chase International's Lotus Management Services Group is seeking a highly experienced, hands on accounting professional to take primary responsibility for the books of our Core Services businesses,including title and escrow, property management, mortgage and marketing services. You willpersonally maintain general ledgers, prepare reconciliations and journal entries, investigatedifferences, understand operating-system reports and participate directly in month-end close—whilebeing trained and mentored by a cohesive accounting leadership team consisting of the AccountingManager, Controller and CFO. The Accounting Manager brings deep knowledge of the companies’transaction flows and specialized operating processes, while the Controller and CFO provide technicalaccounting guidance, review and professional development.

The accounting environment has substantial transaction volume. Important operating and incomeactivity is generated through industry-specific software and reporting systems that must be reconciledand bridged into QuickBooks Online, which is used for the general ledger and financial statements. Thesuccessful candidate must therefore combine strong accounting fundamentals with the ability andwillingness to learn specialized systems and workflows.

Primary Responsibilities

• Own full-cycle accounting and month-end close for assigned Core Services entities. Maintain general ledgers and prepare recurring, accrual and adjusting journal entries. Prepare and resolve bank, credit card and balance-sheet reconciliations.
• Reconcile intercompany billings and due-to/due-from balances; investigate differences rather thanplug accounts.
• Understand, reconcile and validate operating-system reports before information reaches theQuickBooks general ledger.
• Review AP/AR and payroll-related accounting and maintain prepaid, fixed-asset and accrualschedules.
• Prepare preliminary monthly balance sheets, income statements and budget-to-actual reporting. Investigate discrepancies and prepare supporting schedules for tax, audit and regulatorycompliance.
• Document recurring procedures and cross-train with Brokerage accounting personnel to buildreliable backup coverage.

Qualifications

• 7–15+ years of progressively responsible hands-on accounting or full-charge bookkeepingexperience preferred.
• Demonstrated personal ownership of month-end close, reconciliations, journal entries and accountanalysis.
• Strong multi-entity accounting and Excel skills; QuickBooks Online experience strongly preferred. Ability to learn specialized operating and revenue-reporting software and understand howoperational reports connect to the GL.
• Real estate, title/escrow, property management, mortgage, construction, professional services orother high-volume multi-entity experience is valuable.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred, but substantial directly applicable experience may substitute. CPA isnot required.
