Job summary

Monroechamber, Browntown, WI, is seeking a Sr. Accountant to join the plant finance team onsite. The role reports to the Controller and focuses on accurate financial reporting, analysis, and operational support for a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in accounting and 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing, with strong Excel and ERP skills. Collaboration across departments will be key to success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of accounting experience (manufacturing experience strongly preferred).
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Solid understanding of financial reporting, reconciliations, and audit support.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain weekly cash flow forecasts.
• Produce and distribute monthly financial reports related to plant performance.
• Support month-end and year-end close, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Maintain fixed asset and tooling ledgers.
• Assist with and participate in internal and external audits.
• Participate in quarterly physical inventory processes.
• Support accounts receivable activities, including customer invoicing and cash application (backup support).
• Provide backup support for accounts payable, including vendor invoices and payment processing.
• Partner cross-functionally to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency in financial operations.
