Job summary

Thayer Infrastructure in Pataskala, Ohio is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to oversee daily accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, and maintain compliance with internal controls.

You will lead month-end close, manage reconciliations, assist budgeting and forecasting, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with auditors on annual audits. Full-time on-site role supporting a collaborative finance team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead role.
• CPA or progress toward CPA strongly preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Proficiency with accounting software and advanced Excel.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Manage the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

• Research and resolve complex accounting issues and provide recommendations.

Job Summary

We are actively seeking an experienced Senior Accountant at our office in Pataskala, Ohio.

The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing and overseeing daily accounting operations, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with internal policies and external regulations. This role plays a key part in month-end close, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation, while also supporting process improvements and mentoring junior staff.

Key Responsibilities
