Job summary

Jobot in Oklahoma City is seeking a Senior Accountant in manufacturing to support month-end close, financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, billing, and audits. This is a hands-on role requiring independence and meticulous data analysis.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of accounting experience, a Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance, strong GAAP knowledge, and month-end close experience; Oracle EBS is a plus.

Senior Accountant – Manufacturing

A growing manufacturing organization is looking to add a Senior Accountant to its U.S. accounting team. This is a hands-on accounting role supporting the month-end close, financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, billing, and audit activities.

The ideal candidate is someone who can work independently, dig into financial data, identify issues, and jump in wherever the accounting team needs support.

Responsibilities

• Support the monthly and year-end financial close process
• Prepare and review accounting transactions in accordance with GAAP
• Assist with financial reporting and preparation of financial statements and related disclosures
• Analyze expense and account variances and provide explanations to management
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities
• Assist with customer billing and related accounting activities
• Perform account reconciliations and research discrepancies as needed
• Assist with the annual external audit process
• Research accounting issues and provide recommendations or solutionsPartner with internal team members to ensure accurate and timely financial information
• Take ownership of assigned accounting responsibilities while supporting the broader accounting team as needed

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional accounting experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial accounting principles
• Experience with month-end close and financial reporting
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to research financial issues and identify appropriate solutions
• Comfortable working independently and managing competing priorities
• Proactive, hands-on approach with a willingness to jump in where needed
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Oracle EBS experience preferred
• Manufacturing or international accounting experience is a plus
