Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our OKC-based energy-focused team. You will prepare financial statements in accordance with GAAP and manage cash accounting, forecasting, and reporting processes.

This full-time role offers a competitive salary and benefits, with opportunities for growth and flexible work-from-home Fridays. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance (Master's or CPA preferred), 5+ years of energy accounting experience, and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in energy
• Proficient in GAAP, financial reporting and Excel

Responsibilities

• Preparing accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Managing the cash accounting process, including cash flow forecasting, and ensuring that all cash transactions are accurately recorded.
• Leading the financial reporting processes, including internal and external reporting, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
• Assisting with budget preparation and financial planning processes.
• Performing variance analyses and preparing account reconciliations.
• Conducting complex financial analysis and reporting on financial performance.
• Collaborating with external auditors, providing necessary information and preparing requested documentations.
• Implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures.
• Providing financial insights and recommendations to the management for decision‑making purposes.

4. Strong knowledge of GAAP and other accounting principles, laws, and regulations.


5. Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail.


6. Strong computer skills, particularly with accounting software and MS Excel.


7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.


8. Ability to work independently, manage large, complex projects, and meet deadlines.


9. Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.


10. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results‑orientation.
